DVR +Matrix +TV-wall Monitoring Solution

This is a relatively thorough solution in local surveillance system. It includes DVD’s recording, digital matrix’s display, switch, alarm, alarm linkage and other functions. 1 Requirements analysis

• Designing requirements include video monitoring and alarm system.
• Camera can be fixed installation or PTZ control; PTZ control camera can equip constant speed pan / tilt and high speed dome.
• Control room requires view all cameras image.
• Control room offers TV-wall function which ensures display any channel image by switch of matrix.
• It is optional to set and make schedule for recording with multi search modes.
• System can store all recording data by DVR; video data is automatically saved up to___days. (Storing expectancy is determined by HD capability)
• Matrix keyboard and DVR can synchronously control pan / tilt and lens (including all directions turning, zoom, distance control as well as speed change control and preset position control for high speed dome).

This system is composed by front-end equipments (camera, lens, pan / tilt, housing, bracket, decoder, alarm detector, spot light) and central control devices (DVR, matrix keyboard, monitor, alarm box, video distributor); according to function, central control devices can be divided into DVR recording system, matrix control system and alarm system. Follows, making an introduction for each module:

DVR recording system functions:

• One DVR supports max 24 channels video-in.
• Local monitoring, record and playback
• Support multi-image display, single image loop display; support motion record, common record and alarm record; support multi-image display both in LAN and WAN.
• Saving time of video data is set according to customer requirements (data calculate: 150M/hour/channel).
• Window can be overlaid clock and camera title.
• PTZ control (including high speed dome control, support speed change control and preset position control)
• Equip dedicated alarm decoder, can synchronously connect to IR detector, smoke detector and other alarm input devices.
• DVR provides electronic map function, customer can draw map and set alarm point according to practical situation, as soon as alarm happens map auto pop-out, displaying alarm direction.
• Customers can set multi levels passports, and different users have different authorities, which avoids illegal operation.
• Video data backup: back-upped data can be played by playing software on any machine.

  Matrix system functions

• Monitor displays time, date, operating status and camera title.
• Support free switch, program switch, synchronous switch, grouping switch and others.
• Control constant & speed change pan / tilt, control motorized lens, support high speed dome control.
• Internal 16channel alarm-in / 2channel alarm-out, connecting to video switch

4 Video distributor’s usage in this monitoring system

CCTV system includes displaying devices, recording devices and switch devices, each camera putout one channel signal, which is not enough for monitor center and video distributor is necessary now.
Video distributor is applied to distribute one channel signal into multi-channel signal for output. It enlarges voltage width or power of input signal, even compensates frequency for signal transmitted from remotes. Video distributor mainly includes 2 distributions (1-in to 2-out), 4distributions (1-in to 4-out) and 8 distributions; input quantity can be 1, 2, 4 and 8.
