Complex Monitoring Problems Analysis & Solutions
A big, alarm linkage CCTV system is a unit with high tech and complex composition. Although various problems maybe happen, serious problems seldom happen if we ensure device quality and strictly construct according to related standards. Even if serious situations happen, as long as carefully analyze & consider and do not tear down blindly, we must solve problems quickly.
1. Equipment breakdown caused by incorrect power: Incorrect power usually involves the below situations: power wire or voltage incorrect, power insufficient (or some power-wire diameter not enough, voltage reduction too much), power wire appearing short circuit, cut off and instant over-voltage. Especially incorrect power or instant over-voltage usually causes to equipment destroy. So in system debug, before power-on, we must carefully check, never ignore at all.
2. As for some equipments (e.g. three motorized zoom camera and pan / tilt) have many lines, if dealing improper, especially connection with circuit improper, problems will happen such as cut off, short circuit, defective insulation and wire connecting incorrect which cause to destroy equipment and reduce performance. In such conditions, we should calmly analyze, determine which circuit connections cause this problem. Thus reason scope is reduced. What should be pointed out is that PAZ camera, after all direction and long time turning, leading to wire drop off or cut off is common matters. So we should meet requirement that connection of equipment and various circuits operates well in long time.
3. Equipment & component quality problem: theoretically speaking, all equipments and components may appear quality problem. But considering by experience, product problems mainly appear on decoder, motorized pan / tilt and transmission component. What should be pointed out is that considering from wholly, some equipment may have no problems disenabling operate, but considering from specifications, these equipments can not reach indexes on description. So sample detection for selected products is necessary. If product appears problem, we had better replace product rather than take off or mend by ourselves. Moreover, the most common problem is caused by adjusting equipment improper, such as adjusting back-focal-length of camera which requires careful and accurate. If adjusting improper, focus will be incorrect and three-zoom lens will be focus-out. Besides, some points may affect equipment application or whole system performance: whether on-off buttons and adjustment buttons is in correct position and is in accordance with system requirements, whether code programming on-off button is in correct position, as well as whether other adjustable parts are in correct position.
4. Problems of incorrect connection between equipments (or components) mainly appear in below sectors；
- Resistance unsuitable
- Communication port or communication mode unsuitable: Such situation usually happens during control server, decoder and control keyboard which have control relations each other. In another word, the reason for this problem is that control server, decoder and control keyboard are not produced by same company. So control server, decoder and control keyboard should adopt in same company.
- Driving capability insufficient or over connection quantity ordered between equipments: for example, some quads with alarm-in port show (in product description) a system connecting to alarm detector and long delay camera. If connecting alarm detector with quads at the same time, alarm signal has to not only drive alarm server but also drive quads. Thus it is usual to appear driving ability insufficient. It is showed as that quads can alarm, but signal-in with weak and work unstable, which causes that image with alarm signal displays instantly on monitor with full-screen, then image quickly disappears and recovers to multi-image status just like before alarm.
How to solve above problems:
- One is that by dedicated alarm port, connecting alarm detector signal with quads or video switch server.
- The other one is that without alarm port, it is operable to design and process signal-spreading device or driving device by ourselves.
