Prison Monitoring Solution

1. User demand

1.1 Prison monitoring solution: prison wall is 1200 meter. One prison is for man with 2 layers of 20 rooms each; the; the other one for woman prison, with 20 rooms each. Monitoring points details show below:
Prison entrances and 4 corners: entrances install fixed cameras; 4 corners of wall install PTZ cameras. This mainly monitors people flow and vehicle flow, as well as far & near evidence obtaining.
Prisoner room: totally install 80 fixed cameras. Require real-time charging & managing prisoners, instantly finding abnormal situations and take measures, also preventing camera from being destroyed illegally.
Passage & dining room: install total 40 cameras. Require monitoring passed-by people. At nighttime, seldom persons appearing, is able to set these cameras motion detecting, alarming when object passes by.

2. Solution design key-point

2.1 Due to system easily composing, design key-point lies in ensuring location of camera's installation and quantity, also select proper cameras & main controllers for onsite situation, so as to ensure monitoring effect.
2.2 Nighttime wall precaution: due to long expanse of wall, with much potential safety hazard and poor brightness, the important point in system is how to enhance monitoring wall in the evening. Therefore we adopt "monitoring system + alarm detection system", realizing linkage between the two systems, as well as mutual advances complement. Specific steps are:
At outside wall installs IR photoelectric beam detector. In order to avoid result caused by carelessness, it is necessary to install a pair of detectors, selecting proper device according to detecting range.
2.3. Alarm linkage designment. Based on the above analysis, we adopt most advanced IDRS 7000 series monitoring system. Relying on this system alarm linkage function can synchronously realize below alarm linkage functions:

• Alarm happened, auto open flashlight or call 110 (optional)
• Auto pop up electronic map from monitoring server, display alarmed location
• Auto open onsite light linkage, supplying brightness for camera, so as to clearly view onsite situations (optional)
• Alarm linkage camera auto turns to alarmed areas, avoiding time delay caused by manual operations
• Link one or more cameras to record, with prerecorded alarm function, completely record whole event course.
• Support alarm log management function, auto record alarm data in order to be checked later
• Realize alarm signal uploading to network, meeting demand for networking monitoring

3. Equipment selection

3.1 Prison entrance & exit: in light of fixing of monitoring position and brightness insufficiency, so adopt fixed IR night vision camera, effectively monitor coming and going objects.
3.2 Prison's 4 corners of wall: not only supply waterproof, dustproof and pollution, but also enhance monitoring place beauty, realizing beautiful looking goal, as well as better working with alarm. We recommend middle / high speed dome camera (BN-5606XH3), which supports alarm preset point function, realizing auto turning to alarmed point as soon as alarm happens. Meanwhile considering poor luminance, we adopt day/night camera with SONY movement fcb-ex480bp to enhance night vision effect. Besides, in order to enhance identifying accuracy on alarmed direction, we recommend multiple alarm detectors to make direction more accurate.
3.3 Prisoner room: due to darkness of monitoring site, in order to ensure normal surveillance at night and ideal conceal ability (reduce disgust feeling of prisoner to camera) or preventing destroy, so we adopt vandal-proof high definition spherical IR dome camera (BN-0320HHL). This camera has features: integrating with camera, lens, IR lamp and dome housing; high integration, nice face, good concealing and easy installation; adopt SONY movement, clear picture, high color saturation and high restoration; inbuilt photosensitive switch, auto IR lamp turning on and supplying compensation light source for camera.
3.4 Passage and dining room suchlike places: due to darkness of night, so in order to ensure normal monitoring in the evening and enhance concealing ability (reducing disgust feeling of prisoner to camera) as well as prevent from being destroyed, we adopt vandal proof high definition spherical IR dome camera (BN-0320HHL). This camera has features: integrating with camera, lens, IR lamp and dome housing; high integration, nice face, good concealing and easy installation; adopt SONY movement, clear picture, high color saturation and high restoration; inbuilt photosensitive-switch, IR lamp auto turning on and supplying compensation light source for camera.
3.5 For monitoring system with 126 points, we use 4 units 32-channel real-time DVRs (IDRS-0320HHL). This camera has features: adopting H.264 compression format (most advanced), saving much HDD space; audio & video sync collecting, wonderful picture & sound quality; full real time speed of displaying & recording; full functions and strong expandability (able to expand to 48 channels full real-time); matured product, high stability, with long term market input & large user group; more friendly interface of system, easy setting; supporting strong networking monitoring function, saving much more bandwidth; multiple languages fit various users. All specifications pass MPS (ministry of public security) test and authentication (details in DVR instruction)
3.6 HDD space is calculated by 24-hour recording of 32-channel camera with saving data for 1 week. It is recommended that each DVR use 2 blocks of 300G enterprise–used DVR HDD, so as to enhance HDD stability. Since HDD occupation status is affected by picture quality and activity level, so here calculated occupation is just a reference (to save more HDD space, it is feasible to adopt motion detective recording mode, i.e. recording starts only when object is moving).
