Alarm Monitoring System in a Residential Area
1. Project brief introduction
This "Residential area" places thousands of square meters, aims to set up big mature and high greening residential buildings, predict to build residential buildings and public buildings, including 1 kindergarten and 1 big parking lot, total construction area being up to thousands of square meters.To prevent thief, rob and destroy suchlike crimes and to ensure human & property security as well as to manage property easily, now the bid for this area monitoring begins.
This security project totally assign 16 monitoring points, monitoring zone covers surrounding wall, main roads, entrance & exit, parking lot, bicycle shed and kindergarten, meantime around wall installs IR photoelectric beam detector, forming "electronic wall"; working with video monitoring system in evening alarm detection can effectively solve undesirability at night and enhance reliability.
2. Design reference
Due to outside area spaciousness, especially northern zone (a wasted airport); besides no lightness around area in the evening, therefore criminals have chance to intrude into residential area, threatening human & property safety.In such conditions, user claims demand for residential safety monitoring system construction----install 16 cameras at walls, entrance & exit, main roads, parking lot and kindergarten, especially the wall that is important zone of precaution demands dual protections of alarm detection and video monitoring.
Through installing video monitoring system and alarm detecting system can set up an expandable, upgradeable and manageable platform, realizing centralized monitoring and digitalized management, enhancing life quality and ensuring human body & property safety.

3. System designment
3.1 Front-end equipments arrangementFront-end equipments play an indispensable role in whole system, including front-end camera and front-end detector
3.1.1 Front-end camera arrangement
Front-end camera is main capturing device, featuring from 3 aspects: onsite monitoring function, picture recheck function (working with alarm system). Cameras are mostly installed at outdoor "important monitoring zones" and vital departments. These cameras real time monitor onsite situation, instantly finds hazard, illegal action and public security, early solving problems. In light of above, important objects and important zones (small scope) should install fixed camera, like entrance & exit; large scope zones, like wall surrounding, main road and parking lot, should install PTZ cameras.

Same to camera, front-end detector, as the alarm detecting device, plays an indispensable role. In this solution, the wall is important point in whole system. Just using camera can not get ideal safety; the reason is that evening is so insufficient in brightness that it greatly reduces picture clarity & definition. Moreover, in light of video monitoring needing human eyes, but person eyes & attention become dull in the evening, so some security hazards caused by carelessness are hard to avoid.
To make up monitoring weakness at dark environment, we install IR photoelectric beam detector, using multi-beam to form an invisible "electronic wall" in the evening. Once intruder breaks in, detector will activate instantly and send alarm signal to control center, open flashlight for warning, so as to enhance security index and make up shortcoming of evening monitoring. This project is designed according to that DVR monitoring system is regarded as main control system. DVR system means a system that uses hard disk for recording, integrating highly with multi-picture operation, PTZ control, recording search, networking transmission and alarm linkage. It bases DVR (digital video recorder), adds control function, alarm signal processing function and networking transmission function to front-end equipments, so as to form a complete alarm monitoring system. Picture recording part adopts digital video compression skill, suing hard disk to make recording, playback, search and management more convenient, so it gradually becomes main trend of monitoring system.

4. System function

4.1 Control center functions
Main control room is the center for signal control & information exchange, with fullest system functions, main include below points:

Record & save signals of some channel or channels with many modes

Search & playback data with multiple modes

4.2 Alarm linkage function realization (important)
Here what needs stressing is the alarm linkage function of this system. As early as designment beginning, the wall has been regarded most important part. Since the most effective method to enhance wall precaution is install video monitoring & alarm detecting equipment, so how to realize two systems integration, i.e. alarm linkage function, for finishing quick policing, accurate judgment and effective warning suchlike linkage reaction are the core of this solution. Function details:
When intruder at night breaks in illegally, alarm detector will firstly activated, then signal is sent to control center, open flashlight for warning
Meanwhile DVR server auto pops up electronic map with alarmed direction
DVR server instantly auto opens emergency light for camera and manager to view event procedure. This function realization greatly widens reacted range of alarm, avoids no warning appearance as watch keeper leaves away. This is a noticeable feature of networking development of monitoring skill.
Besides, for the cameras installed in daily important positions, system can set their motion detective alarm functions at DVR server. When picture appears illegal motion, system will auto alarm, open recording and find event instantly for later use.
4.3 Other sub-controllers functions
Via network, at any time, view all points' pictures
Via network sub-control software, remotely monitor all pan/tilts and lenses, overcoming regional restriction
5. Front-end equipments selection
5.1 Front-end equipmentsCamera's selection should comply with practical situation, i.e. for wall-mount camera, it is recommended to use high speed dome camera BN-5606XH3 (SONY chip 480), in order to work with alarm detecting system to realize alarm preset function. <High speed dome introduction>
5.1.2. As to the cameras installed in parking site and residential road suchlike areas, it is recommended to using outdoor wall mount / pendant mount low speed dome camera BN-5606HL3. <Constant speed dome introduction>
5.1.3. As to outdoor fixed cameras, in light of poor luminance, it is recommended to using IR night vision camera BN-1350D. <IR night vision camera introduction>

5.2 Transmission devices
Transmission system affords for sending of video signal and control signal. According to design requirement, video signal must be sent through cable SYV75-5-2 of blocking 96% interference or specified cable for SYV5-5-2
System video input & output resistance and video cable resistance must be same as 75Ω
Multi-conductor twisted pair transmits alarm and control signal
Multi-conductor sheathed wire transmits power for device
5.3 Recording equipments
This solution adopts IDRS-7016HE-D DVR. IDRS-7000S series DVR uses newest H.264 skill, which makes each channel recording speed reach maximum (25f/s), with more compact compression, less HD space, faster transmitting and more definition. System functions are more flexible; operation interface is more clean & humanizing; network transmission and sub-control software are more perfect. All in all, it meets current demands on remote monitoring, has becoming typical series products.
