4. System Construction
Whole system comprises of front-end equipment, local control center, top control center, net client and central server.
4.1 Front-end equipment
The front-end equipment includes camera, lens and other suchlike signal capturing & remote-controllable devices.
Signal capturing device includes video & alarm signal capturing & other analog data capturing devices (camera, IR detector, etc) which are responsible for capturing onsite video & intrusion data and analog/digital signal.
Remote-controllable device is composed by motorized zoom lens, all-direction pan/tilt, outdoor housing, spotlight and other controllable devices which directed by signal sent from control center.
4.2 Local control center
Local control center includes PC/stand alone DVR, matrix, monitor, alarm box and video distributor, all of which are in charge of receiving & dealing of audio & video display, record, playback as well as alarm signal.
Some chain stores needn' t local monitoring but only remote control, so it is unnecessary to install DVR and matrix, just only DVS enough.
4.3 Top control center
Top control center adopts IDRS distributive monitoring system which includes video site, central server and net client. It can use IP network to manage hundreds of points.
4.3.1 Video site
Video site is control center' s core device, i.e. "network monitoring host", which is in charge of connecting front-end PC/standalone DVR and DVS, providing all remote video display, record and PTZ control functions. Meantime it can be regarded as video resource of control center and net client, responsible for audio & video signal retransmission. Video site is composed by PC and related software. Restricted by PC self and bandwidth, one site can only remotely control finite pictures. So with camera increasing, more sites are needed.
4.3.2 Net client
Net client refers to the user terminals, except for control center, needing remote monitoring. Duet to these clients scattered, low demand, free login and no record, they are fully thought into "net client" users. It is composed by PC (computer or laptop) and client software.
4.3.3 Central server
Central server is the management core and authentication center. Its main functions refer to control for various main control devices (PC/standalone DVR, DVS, video site) and net client, including device authentication, user authentication, intra-system device configuration, intra-system user authentication configuration, centralized remote control & modification of features & settings and resource assignment & directory service. It is composed by PC and central server. Central server usually lies at top control center.

8. System Features
IDRS-NVMS (IDRS Net Video Management System) adopts standard Internet protocol, based on LAN, WAN or wi-fi network, seamlessly connecting with various Ethernet devices. System needn' t set up specific video or control cable, and authorized user can view onsite situation at any client, even integrate with local system so as to be multifunction in one network.
8.1 Strong central management function
For large scale, big system monitoring users, IDRS-NVMS opinion of central server & video site integration will provide clearer network, monitoring, control and management logic relation, which accordingly enhances system utilization and decrease expenses of operation or maintenance.
Central server and video site can expand further, i.e. one work station can include multi-sub-DVR or multi-substation. Thus system will provide stronger management ability and expansion ability. We use video site advantages to set, integrate and centrally manage whole system, so as to offer a strong platform for setting up big or even bigger net video management system.
8.2 Complete function of system
System server and each client can real-timely view multiple local / remote front-end devices which are in coverage. Onsite video can be divided into groups according to positions with manual record, schedule record and alarm linkage record, displaying with 4-picture, 9-picture or 16-picture. In this system, central server, storage severs and net video encoders are integrated well, so they will take their biggest efficiency.
8.3 Adopt video proxy mechanism, save bandwidth
In finite bandwidth condition, system provides proxy visiting mechanism, i.e. when multiple users visit same image, this channel image will be sent from video site to request visitor, by this way, it saves finite network resource.
Meantime, video is transmitted as "video-on-demand", i.e. only when request appears, video will be sent, or it does not occupy bandwidth.
8.4 Remote system maintenance and management
IDRS-video Site provides remote visit function, in other words, manager needn' t go to spot site and can change specifications of IDRS-4000C front-end devices and IDRS-6000S DVR. Thus system maintenance efficiency is greatly enhanced. Meantime manager can remotely add, delete and modify user, position as well as authentication, recording duration and alarm info. When the info is modified, it is unnecessary for manager to edit client, but only re-login on system for enough operation to get new or modified info, which greatly releases worker' s heavy workload.
8.5 Easy to integrate with local network system
System adopts a standard TCP/IP protocol which owns strong openness and compatibility, easy to connect to other systems. Domestic users need only client software to realize video monitoring without any setting. Front-end can access much resource into system, avoiding repeated investment of resource.
8.6 Outstanding expansibility
IDRS-NVMS (net video management system) front-end part adopts modular designment; i.e. when expansion needs, it is easy to add front-end monitoring point. In control center, it is enough to finish expansion by just adding front-end point into system. Such a system does not limit user amount and user can whenever and wherever view monitoring spot.
