Supermarket CCTV Monitoring Solution

Big shopping mall & supermarket usually implements heavy human flow. Store host adopts opening counters mode which brings convenience to customers but also creates opportunity for criminals. The traditional personal defense can not meet demand yet, especially after business time is over, mall inner is thought as best target area by criminals. Therefore using modern skill or method has been an important part in composition of all direction defense system.
Whole system can be comprised of CCTV monitoring system, electronic defense system and burglar alarm system. Each system can standalone operate or cooperate together into a united security system.

1. CCTV Monitoring System:

In mall installing a CCTV system can not only watch customers' activities but also firsthand find criminals and open camera to record, which overawes those criminal tendency persons. Especially installing a camera upon cash counter not only watches payment process but also supervises cashier's operations to avoid financial leak.
1.1 Alarm set designment
In CCTV monitoring system, front-end camera's selection and installation are important very much. And the essential one is there should be ensured no blind area which leaves chance to criminal. Camera should cover the whole city scope and intra-supermarket activities can be seen clearly. Camera should select color types so as to gain better picture effect, besides shield should adopt dome typed housing so as to be hidden, nice and harmonious with wholly layout.
For ## supermarket demand, we design the below CCTV monitoring system for supermarket. This system includes 16 units business class high-resolution camera, among them, 10 units mono-focal color lens camera with indoor housing & bracket, and 6 units 16X varifocal all-in-one color camera with indoor all-directional pan/tilt dome housing. The 10 cameras install upon cash counter or entrance, at which it is easy to monitor customers' activities as well as cashier operations. The other 6 cameras (16X varifocal) install upon goods racks area in order to real-timely monitor self-service shopping
1.2 Part backend control & log display
Main control room mainly includes 1 unit 16-channel DVR (IDRS-6016S), 1 unit 16-in/8-out matrix system, 1 unit high definition duplex 16-channel quads processor, 7 units professional level 14" color monitor, TV-wall, console and 1 unit 34" color monitor for 16-picture simultaneous view. Monitoring system matches matrix which can switch all monitoring points and display them on monitor, even more, matrix can control zoom camera and pan/tilt motion. Built-in alarm kit can make alarm caused by alarm signal, realizing enforced switch of picture, activating record and warning. Quads processor can gather 16 channels picture and display them on one screen. 16-channel DVR (IDRS-6016S) can control real-time record of all cameras.
1.3 Sub-control
System owns 1 unit sub-control PC, matched with IDRS sub-control software, which is operated by director. This PC achieves all monitoring tasks based on multimedia PC help and displays all video on monitor. PC is provided by users themselves, most models available.

2. Electronic burglar-prevention system

EAS (electronic article surveillance) separately adopts electromagnetic, microwave and radio frequency skill, before goods is paid, sends out acousto-optic alarm signal. EAS system composes below parts:
Inducting tag: there are mainly paper-made tag and hard tag. Paper tag usually labels on CD-ROM, cassette and supermarket goods. Such tags are labeled bar code; however, hard tag is difficult to be moved or destroyed, usually buttoned on clothes, bag, shoes and electric equipments.
Decoder board and extractor: decoder board installs at cash counter used for degauss of paper tag when goods is paid over; nevertheless, extractor is used for pull out button from hard tag of goods so as to use repeatedly.

3. Supermarket detecting system

3.1 Alarm set designment
In burglar-prevention alarm system, front-end detector selection and installation are very important, so there should have no blind area in each entrance, window or emergency access, which provides opportunity for criminals.
According to inside supermarket conditions, it is selectable to choose among point-type intrusion detector, line-type intrusion detector, side-type intrusion detector and space-type intrusion detector. In order to reduce false alarm rate, we can put some functions together into one complex, e.g. triple technology detector refers to integration of microwave, IR and manual process skill, enhancing anti-interference and reducing false alarm rate.
3.2 Alarm controller
Alarm controller should be capable of receiving signals from intrusion detector and giving alarm even indicates intrusion position. Acousto-optic alarm signal should be ensured until manual restore when alarm inputs, system can send acousto-optic signal again. More than that, alarm controller also can provide DC current for all detectors connected which connect with this control's port. It must be ensured that when incident happens, controller will send out warning, open light, run IDRS DVR and record alarmed situation as accident evidence later. The whole series tasks are finished by DVR. Alarm controller shape can be box-like, wall-mount as well as cabinet-like. Division with capacity, it is can be single channel or multi-channel, but multi-channel controllers usually are 2, 4, 8, 16, 24 or 32 channels. When selecting alarm detector, we should choose those whose capacity is more than detector amount so as to expand in later.
If we unify the three systems, it will be a strict security system. In electronic burglar prevention system, once somebody walks out door before paid, system will send out alarm signal. At this time, alarm signal will be transmitted to DVR which lies in control room, so that DVR starts recording activated by alarm and gains evidence for verification; likewise, if burglar detector senses that there is intrusion, system will open light on the spot and launches recording.
