Specification Introduction of Zoom-Camera Technology
Zoom camera means cameras and lens are combined into one body, it is convenient to control the camera (multiples, focusing, and iris), indicator: resolution, optical zoom, the minimum illumination, etc.
1. Resolution
The resolution is decided by the pixel of CCD, currently, color zoom cameras are divided into 2 types: high resolution (480 TVL)and low resolution(420TVL),because of suitable mount lens, using 1/4″CCD. The high resolution sometimes use ICX229AK, the low resolution sometimes use EXVIEW CCDICX227AK of SONY Company
2. Optical Zoom
The number of optical zoom is important indictor to measure the scope of imaging of the zoom camera. At present, 16x, 22x, 27x etc is common. Plus amplificatory function; the objects far away nearly 300 meters are monitor clearly.
3. Minimum illumination
Usually, the minimum illumination of color CCD zoom camera is determined by the sensitivity of CCD. At present, 1/4″color CCD adopt the ICX279AK EXVIEW CCD of SONY company so that it has lower illumination. If it adopts the technology of frames accumulation, the image will be destroyed.
4. Common functions
- 1) Electronic amplification: usually, 10 times
- 2) Communication port RS232C/RS422
- 3) Auto focusing: manual focusing available too
- 4) White balance: auto WB, manual WB and many specific colors set from the factory (from 2900K to 9600K)

- 6) Auto iris
